Interface Conditions for a Singular Reaction-diffusion System

چکیده
For a chemical reaction/diffusion system, a very fast reaction A+ B → C implies non-coexistence of A, B with resulting interfaces. We try to understand how these interfaces evolve in time. In particular, we seek a characterizing system of equations and conditions for the sharp interface limit: when this fast reaction is taken as infinitely fast.

In this research, the diffusion bonding of the stabilized zirconia ceramic and Nimonic 105 superalloy using Ti/Nb/Ni multi-interlayer was carried out. Joint was performed using the plasma spark technique in a vacuum atmosphere and at different temperatures and times. The microstructure of the different joint zones was studied using optical and FESEM microscopes equipped with an EDS analyzer. Th...

In chemical engineering, several processes are represented by singular boundary value problems. In general, classical numerical methods fail to produce good approximations for the singular boundary value problems. In this paper, Chebyshev finite difference (ChFD) method and DTM-Pad´e method, which is a combination of differential transform method (DTM) and Pad´e approximant, are applied for sol...

متن کاملExistence of Weak Solutions to a Nonlinear Reaction-diffusion System with Singular Sources
We discuss the existence of a class of weak solutions to a nonlinear parabolic system of reaction-diffusion type endowed with singular production terms by reaction. The singularity is due to a potential occurrence of quenching localized to the domain boundary. The kind of quenching we have in mind is due to a twofold contribution: (i) the choice of boundary conditions, modeling in our case the ...
متن کاملAnalysis of a Cahn--Hilliard system with non-zero Dirichlet conditions modeling tumor growth with chemotaxis
We consider a diffuse interface model for tumor growth consisting of a Cahn– Hilliard equation with source terms coupled to a reaction-diffusion equation, which models a tumor growing in the presence of a nutrient species and surrounded by healthy tissue. The well-posedness of the system equipped with Neumann boundary conditions was found to require regular potentials with quadratic growth. In ...
